Once you open MaxWhere, you will see a list of your downloaded Spaces, your favourites as well as different Spaces belonging to several categories separated into scrollable lists.
To add or remove a space from your favourites, click on the ❤️ icon.
If you click on the My Spaces tab located on the top navigation bar, you can see three separate lists of Spaces you own, you can edit or you can view.
If you wish to view more details about a Space, you can click on the expand icon located at the upper right hand corner of the Space cards.
Once on this view, you can download the chosen Space, or remove it from your device. If you are an owner of the Space, an Edit button will also appear here.
You can download any Space by simply clicking on the download button (downwards arrow) on its card. You can open a downloaded Space by clicking on the play icon.
Depending on your MaxWhere access rights, you may receive ownership privileges to certain Spaces.
Once someone becomes an owner of a Space, he or she can grant anyone else either editor or viewer privileges.
Clicking on the expand icon on the upper right corner of the card of any Space allows you to view further details about that Space.
If you are an owner of a space, you can also edit its details by clicking on the pencil icon on its card, or by clicking on the expand icon, and then clicking on the Edit button.
As you can see, this will open the MaxWhere Portal in a web browser window, where you can edit the details of the Space. You can edit its name and description, show or hide metadata, add or remove tags, switch the Space to public or private (thus giving or removing implicit viewer permissions to/from anyone), share the space with people and view all the available Projects in the Space.
As an owner, you can also specify what content will appear inside the Space, once someone opens it. This includes all Selection Panels that will appear in the space.
Editors cannot make changes of the Primary Project , and also cannot modify or create new Selection Panels. However, they can create new Projects to be listed in any of the Selection Panels, and may determine the layouts and content inside those Projects.
Regardless of whether you are an editor or owner of a Space, you can edit the Projects inside the space in the same way. However, if you are an owner, you will have some additional options.
To edit the content inside a Smartboard, just click on it, and change the URL inside the URL bar on the top of the screen. You can also load local files, like images or PDFs into a Smartboard by clicking the Open icon next to the URL bar. Either way, by saving changes at the right side of the bar, the new content will be synced up to the cloud.
To edit the layouts of the Projects inside the Space, as well as to create new Projects, you have several options. To change the size, location or orientation of a Smartboard (or Selection Panel), one option is to open up the MaxWhere menu while the crosshair is over the Smartboard – then open up the Quick Editor with the blue hand icon and use the controls that the editor provides.
As you can see, the editor panel also includes a save icon that will sync your changes to the cloud. Using the Quick Editor, you are free to edit any number of Smartboards in succession. You will be prompted to save your changes whenever you switch to a Smartboard that belongs to a Project that is different from the one you were previously editing.
If you want to edit a specific Project, and disable the editing of all others in the meantime, open up the Project Editor instead of the Quick Editor. This editor lets you select a specific Project from a specific Selection Panel, using tools that are very similar to the Quick Editor.
If you want to create a new Smartboard, you can also use either the Quick Editor or the Project Editor - just use the + icon within any of the two editors, while the - sign is used to remove Smartboards and Selection Panels.
To create a new Selection Panel, use the + sign within the Quick Editor, then select Primary Project, or alternatively, you can use the + button in the Project Editor as well, if you select the Primary Project as the one you are going to edit.
Finally, if you want to create a brand new Project, you can do this in two ways - you can add a project directly to a Selection Panel inside the Selection Panel or open up the Project Editor menu, and select Create New Project.
